The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Canton, Ohio to kick off the 2022 preseason on Thursday night in the Hall of Fame Game versus the Las Vegas Raiders (8 p.m. Eastern Time, NBC).

Ahead of the exhibition game, the Jaguars released the team’s unofficial depth chart.

There aren’t too many surprises here, but while Trevor Lawrence is of course listed as the starting quarterback, he will not play on Thursday night. Additionally, running back Travis Etienne — who is currently listed as the No. 2 running back behind James Robinson — will also not participate in the Hall of Fame Game.

Meanwhile, Robinson is still recovering from an Achilles injury and will miss the game as well, however, he appears to be on track to be ready for the regular season.

Trevor Lawrence won't participate in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday when the NFL kicks off preseason action with the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the Las Vegas Raiders.

Coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday that Lawrence would sit the first preseason game. With backup C.J. Beathard still nursing a groin injury, Jake Luton will start Thursday and get the bulk of the action.

The 2022 season begins Thursday night in Canton, Ohio, home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the first NFL action of the year.

The Jacksonville Jaguars embark on a new journey under coach Doug Pederson, who arrives in Duval County as the man chosen to get quarterback Trevor Lawrence back on track toward stardom, and the Jaguars on the path to success. His tenure as Jacksonville's coach begins just steps from football's most hallowed halls.

The same goes for the Raiders, who are looking to build on their surprise success of last season achieved amid plenty of adversity. This time, they'll take the field with a new coach of their own, longtime Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Because it's the preseason, we won't see a ton of the main characters in action Thursday night. But for the first time since the confetti fell on the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, California, the NFL will return to what it does best: entertaining the viewing audience with America's favorite sport.
