CWSA Launches Gabby, the Solid Waste Mascot

February 4th 2010 marked the introduction of the Solid Waste Unit’s mascot Gabby, to the General public.  The launching took place at the Windsor Primary School with speeches from Mrs. Nicole Sylvester,  Chairperson of the school, and  the principal Mrs. Cheryl Smith. Short speeches were also given by Ms. Joan Ryan the Public Relations and Marketing Manager and Mr. Winbert Quow the Solid Waste Manager of the CWSA. 

Gabby was enthusiastically welcomed by all in attendance, although his appearance, though light and cheery, did scare a kindergarten student who hid in her classroom for the duration of Gabby’s visit.  Short visits were also made to the Imani pre-school and day-care and to the Happy Days pre-school and day-care.
