Kentish Williams began his career at the Central Water and Sewerage Authority on the 27th of April 1995 as a Meter Reader. Prior to this appointment he pursued careers in Nursing and Civil Construction both of which lasted for a short while.

Since 1970

Fifteen (15) years later, Kentish holds the position of Senior Meter Reader and was recognized as Meter Reader of the year from 2006 - 2009. He also copped the prestigious title of Employee of the year for the CWSA in 2009. In an interview with the editor, Kentish said that he enjoys working at the CWSA and loves his job, but looks forward to upward mobility in the Authority.

He said over the years, some of his challenges on the job included fending off dogs, which he said is a grave concern for him. Kentish loves the outdoors and his job affords him the opportunity to do something he loves and that is to interact with the public. He is also adept at welding, electronics and carpentry .

Kentish has a very quiet demeanor and is well respected at work and in his community. He is also an Elder in the Mesopotamia Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is encouraging other meter readers to do their best and to take their work seriously, bearing in mind that they represent the CWSA and are the first point of contact with the consumers.
